DESCRIPTION

When opening the center console cup holder, the center bowtie retaining clip pops out causing the cup holder spring to lose preset tension. Also, the cup holder lid will not close due to interference with the spring. Customers with this problem should have the center bowtie retaining clip replaced according to the instructions below.





REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove and discard the original center bowtie retaining clip.
2. Place a small amount of super glue on the tabs of the new center bowtie retaining clip where they contact the cup holder assembly
3. Place the cup holder spring into position and install the new center bowtie retaining clip.
4. Allow super glue to dry and verify the repair.
