Cooling System: Testing and Inspection

SYSTEM OPERATION










1. Connect the SST to the data link connector.
2. Set system select to position 1 and the test switch to SELF TEST.





3.Rotate the throttle link by hand and verify that the coolant fan operates.

Removal Installation

1. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connection.





2. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.
3. Install a new washer and the engine coolant temperature sensor.



Inspection





1. Place the sensor in water with a thermometer. Heat the water gradually.





2. Measure resistance of the sensor.
