DESCRIPTION
The door glass may come of the track, bind during operation or not operate at all. Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, the door glass channel adjusted.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify concern.





2. Roll the door glass down to 100 mm (4 in.) above the belt line molding. Refer to Fig. 1.

3. Remove the door trim according to section 8 (page 8-99) of the workshop manual.

4. Remove the two (2) attaching the door glass to the window regulator.

5. Pull the door glass out of the door opening.

6. Remove the door speaker.

NOTE:
The door glass channel is not part of the window regulator.

7. Inspect the door glass channel rubber.
^ If the rubber is out of the channel, reinsert the rubber and proceed to step 8.





8. Pull the lower portion of the door glass run channel 3 - 4 mm (0.12 - 0.16 in.) toward the rear of the vehicle. Refer to Fig. 2.





9. Measure the distance from the door inner edge to the glass run channel leading edge. The distance should be approximately 99 - 100 mm (3.90 - 3.94 in.).
^ If the distance is within the specification, refer to seetion S of the workshop manual for troubleshooting and repair information.
^ If the distance is not within the specification, cerefully bend the glass run channel to meet the specification.

10. Install the door glass and two (2) regulator screws.

11. Connect the power switch and operate the window several times to ensure proper operation.

12. Roll the window down completely.

13. Open the door and firmly close it Repeat three (3) times.

14. Roll window up and confirm repair.

15. Install door speakers and door trim.
