PURPOSE
Receives a signal from the transaxle mounted vehicle speedometer sensor and sends the signal to the powertrain control module engine.

CONSTRUCTION
The vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) is an integral component of the speedometer assembly and is not serviced separately.

OPERATION
- Vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) input terminals 2I & 3G:
- Receive an alternating current signal from the transaxle mounted vehicle speedometer sensor.
- Input terminals are located on the instrument cluster.

- Vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) output terminal 2D & ground terminal 2A:
- Forwards the vehicle speed related signal to other control modules in the vehicle.
