With Manual Transaxle

View: Vehicle Speed Sensor (Signal Buffer) Output Terminals:

- Remove the instrument cluster.
- Set a suitable voltmeter to the 5 Volt range.
- Using the voltmeter check the vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) input signal and output signals.

Specification: [1]
- 0.0 Volts--NG.
- Other than 0.0 Volts--OK.

- Replace the vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) if input signal is OK but output signal is NG.
- If the input signal is NG. Check the vehicle speedometer sensor and related wiring.

Circuit Diagram:

- Vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) input terminals 2I & 3G:
- Receive an alternating current signal from the transaxle mounted vehicle speedometer sensor.
- Input terminals are located on the instrument cluster.

- Vehicle speed sensor (signal buffer) output terminal 2D & ground terminal 2A:
- Forwards the vehicle speed related signal to other control modules in the vehicle.
