Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection

View: Testing The Shutter Valve Actuator:

1. Remove the vacuum hose from the actuator.
2. Verify that the rod can move in and out smoothly.
3. Start the engine and run it at idle.
4. Place a finger over the end of vacuum hose and verify that there is no vacuum.
5. Increase the engine speed gradually and verify that the vacuum is felt when the engine speed above 4,750 rpm.

6. Install the vacuum hose and verify that the rod is pulled inward.
