Throttle Position Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTIONThe throttle position sensor, transaxle is actually the same component, throttle position senor, which is used for engine control system inputs as described in computers and control systems. The reason for the additional information in this section is to establish that voltage test readings for the throttle position sensor may vary depending on where the voltage readings were taken.
Test voltage readings may differ when measured at the powertrain control module transaxle (PCMT) and/or the powertrain control module engine (PCME). The mere fact that a difference of test readings exists should not be mistakenly interpreted as an indication of a failure in the throttle position sensor circuit.
