Spark Plug: Service and Repair
View: Handling High-Tension Leads:
1. Remove and install plug wires carefully.
CAUTION: When removing plug wires, pull on the boot, not the wire.
Install Spark Plug Socket Squarely Over Spark Plugs:
2. Remove and install plugs with socket specifically designed for the job. Make sure socket fits squarely over the plug.
3. Set gap to 1.0 - 1.1 mm (0.039 - 0.043 in.)
4. Apply anti-seize compound or molybdenum-based lubricant to plug threads.
Use A Suitable Torque Wrench:
5. Tighten to 15 - 22 Nm (11 - 16 ft.lb.)
