HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION
Operation Inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
2. Verify that the HOLD indicator light is not illuminated.
View: HOLD Switch:
3. Depress the HOLD switch and verify that the HOLD indicator light comes ON.
NOTE: The HOLD indicator light will flash if a malfunction exists in any of the electronically controlled automatic transaxle (EC-AT) system components.
4. If not as specified, check the continuity of the instrument cluster and check the HOLD switch.

Continuity Inspection of HOLD Light (Instrument Panel)
NOTE: Obtain audio anti-theft access code before disconnecting battery cables.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument cluster.
View: HOLD Indicator Light Circuit Continuity, In Instrument Cluster:
3. Check continuity of the instrument cluster.
4. If not as specified, remove the HOLD indicator light bulb at the rear of the instrument cluster.
5. If the bulb is burned, replace it.
6. If the bulb is OK, replace the instrument cluster.
7. Install the instrument cluster.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
