With Automatic Transaxle (ATX)

SYSTEM OPERATION
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Shift the selector lever to Neutral or Park position.
3. Turn all electric loads OFF.

View: Test Connections:

4. Connect a tachometer to the data link connector terminal IG- as shown.
5. Verify that the cooling fan is OFF.
6. Check the idle speed is within specification.

Idle speed (Neutral or P range): 640 to 700 rpm

7. If not within specification range, adjust the idle speed.

8. Verify the idle speed is within specifications under the conditions in Fig.3
9. If not as specified, check the related wiring harness, switches and sensors.
