Front Hub & Bearing

REMOVAL





Note: Inspect wheel bearing play and if necessary, remove components in the order shown in the figure.

Brake caliper assembly

Note: For easier installation, do not depress the brake pedal after removing the brake caliper assembly.





- Suspend the brake caliper assembly with a rope.

Tie rod end





- Loosen the nut and disconnect the tie rod end with the SST.

Lower arm





- Loosen the nut and disconnect the lower arm with the SST.

Upper arm





- Loosen the nut and disconnect the upper arm with the SST.

INSTALLATION

Locknut





- Install new locknut and stake it.
Tightening torque: 167-216 Nm (17-22 rn-kg, 123-159 ft-lb)

DISASSEMBLY





Note: Do not remove the hub bolts unless necessary. Do not reuse the hub bolts it removed.

Sensor rotor (ABS)
- Secure the front wheel hub in a vise and remove the sensor rotor with the SST.

Note: Do not remove the sensor rotor unless necessary. Do not reuse the sensor rotor if removed.

Hub bolts

Caution Do not remove the hub bolts if not necessary. Do not reuse the removed hub bolts.





- Remove the hub bolts with a press.

ASSEMBLY

Hub bolts





- Install the new hub bolts with a press.

Sensor rotor (ABS)





- Install a new sensor rotor with the SST and a press.

INSPECTION

Front wheel hub assembly
- Inspect for damage.

Note: Front wheel hub assembly can not be disassembled. Replace it as an assembly if necessary.
