Crankshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation
Crank Angle Sensor:
PURPOSE
Generates 2 PCME monitored signals. SGC signal detects #1 cylinder TDC and is used in PCME calculations for ignition and fuel injection timing.
SGT signal detects crank angle at 180° intervals and is used in PCME calculations for fuel injection quantity, ignition and fuel injection timing, A/C cut-off, and emission devices.
LOCATION
Rear of cylinder head near coil/igniter assembly.
