DESCRIPTION

The top cover may flap while driving at high speeds [+50 mph (+80 km/h)] with the convertible top down and the top cover installed. This flapping is caused when the front buttons on the cover become disconnected, allowing air to circulate under the cover.

To eliminate the flapping, cover straps are incorporated into production. Customers complaining of this concern should have the straps installed according to this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE





1. Remove the cover from the vehicle.





2. Bore two (2) holes in the cover 2 - 3 mm in diameter, 20 mm from the cover notch and 5 - 6 mm from the cover edge.

3. Repeat step 2 on the opposite side.





4. Install the straps to the cover using screws. Refer to Fig. 3.





5. Install the cover onto the vehicle. Refer to Fig. 4.
