SOFT TOP BOOT FLAPS LOOSE AT HIGH SPEED

APPLICABLE MODEL
1990-97 MX-5 Miata with a VIN of JM1NA35**0734531 and lower.

DESCRIPTION
At speeds of 65 mph and higher the soft top boot rear hook vibrates. This vibration causes the hook to release and allows the boot to flap. The hook has been moved forward to increase boot tightness. Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, repaired.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify the concern.





2. If top boot is loose, replace with a modified part.
