Time between diagnostic trouble code cycles is 4.0 seconds.
SECOND DIGIT OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (ONES POSITION)
One's Position:
Digits in ones position of diagnostic trouble code represent the number of times checker buzzer sounds 0.4 second during one cycle.
FIRST DIGIT OF DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (TENS POSITION)
Ten's Position:
Digit in tens position of diagnostic trouble code represents the number of times checker buzzer sounds 1.2 seconds during one cycle. Buzzer remains "OFF" for 1.6 seconds between long and short pulses.

NOTE:
^ The buzzer sounds only for the ones position when using the Mazda Digita Code Checker. To judge the correct trouble code number, refer to the digital display.
^ If there is more than one failure present, code numbers are indicated in numberical order, lowest number first.
^ After repairs, turn ignition OFF, disconnect negative battery cable and depress the brake pedal at least 20 seconds to erase trouble code numbers from PCME memory.
