Fuel Pump Hold Pressure:

NOTE: Perform this inspection if fuel pressure hold inspection is not as specified.

WARNING: Before performing this procedure, release fuel pressure.


1. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
2. Connect fuel pressure gauge to filter and plug gauge outlet as shown.
3. Connect battery.
4. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with jumper wire.
5. Turn ignition "ON" for 10 seconds to operate fuel pump.
6. Observe gauge reading after 5 minutes:

HOLD PRESSURE: More Than 50 psi (340 kPa)

7. If not as specified, replace pump.
