Automatic Transaxle

PURPOSE
Detects EGR valve position and signals PCME. Used to determine if EGR valve and system are functioning within system parameters. If not, PCME will set a malfunction code.

LOCATION
On top of EGR valve.

OPERATION
Sensor is a variable resistor moved through its range by EGR valve operation. PCME sends a reference voltage and calculates EGR valve position based on resistance through sensor.
