Variable Induction Control Actuator: Testing and Inspection
Shutter Valve Actuator:
1. Remove vacuum hose from actuator.
2. Verify that rod can move in and out freely.
3. Start engine and run at idle. Verify that manifold vacuum is present at actuator vacuum hose.
4. Install hose and verify that actuator rod is pulled inward.
5. Replace actuator if it does not hold vacuum.
6. If vacuum is not present at hose to actuator, correct cause of problem.
