Park/Neutral Switch (ATX)

OPERATION INSPECTION

Park/Neutral Switch Inspection:

1. Verify that starter operates with ignition switch at START position and selector lever in P and N ranges only.
2. Verify that back-up lights illuminate when shifted to R range with ignition switch ON.
3. If not as specified, check park/neutral switch.

CONTINUITY INSPECTION

Park/Neutral Switch Continuity Inspection:

1. Unplug switch connector.
2. Check continuity across terminals as shown in image chart.
3. If not correct, replace switch and perform adjustment procedure.
4. If correct, check or adjust select lever.
