Replace left and right brake pads at the same time. Do not replace one wheel side only.
1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. On single piston caliper, remove lockpin bolt and lift caliper assembly with brake line connected, from disc assembly.
4. On four piston caliper, remove pad pins and springs.
5. Remove brake pads from caliper assembly.
6. Reverse procedure to install. When installing new brake pads, push caliper piston inward using piston compressor No. 490221600C, or equivalent.
