Using Cruise Set Indicator Lamp

1. To enter condition detection mode, proceed as follows:
a. Place ignition switch in On position, then turn cruise control main switch on.
b. Press and hold Resume/Accel switch for at least three seconds to activate self-diagnosis. Cruise set indicator should illuminate for three seconds, then go out and remain out for two seconds.
c. If lamp begins to flash after two seconds, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Interpretation for interpretation of flash pattern.
d. If lamp does not flash, system electronic components are functioning normally. Inspect speed control mechanical devices for malfunctions.

2. To enter operation mode, proceed as follows:
a. Place ignition switch in On position and cruise control main switch in Off position.
b. On models equipped with automatic transaxle, place transaxle in Drive or Reverse.
c. On models equipped with manual transaxle, do not depress clutch pedal.
d. Press Resume/Accel and cruise control main switches simultaneously to activate self-diagnosis; cruise set indicator lamp should illuminate.
e. Operate each switch and observe lamp flashes. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Interpretation for illustrations of normal flash patterns and information regarding corrective action for abnormal flash patterns.
