Brake Light Switch: Description and Operation

Purpose
Stoplight switch signal is one of several inputs used by the powertrain control module engine (PCME) to calculate control of various powertrain control systems.

Operation
Switch is "ON" (shows continuity) when pedal is depressed, and "OFF" (no continuity) when pedal is released.
