Fuel Line Pressure Inspection
Fuel Line Pressure InspectionWARNING: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious Injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures."
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Install a fuel pressure gauge as shown in the figure.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
5. Turn the ignition switch ON.
6. Measure the fuel line pressure.
Fuel line pressure: 250-260 kPa (36-38 psi)
Pressure low:
- Measure fuel pump maximum pressure. If as specified, the fuel line or fuel filter might be clogged or restricted.
Pressure high:
- Replace the pressure regulator.
