Battery Discharged

1. Ensure battery voltage is at least 12.4 volts. If not, inspect battery.
2. If alternator warning lamp illuminates while engine is running, refer to Load Test in Diagnosis & Testing. If not, refer to Voltage Output Test.
3. If load test is good, inspect battery for parasitic drain. If load test fails, inspect for loose belt.
4. If voltage output is good, there is a wiring harness malfunction between relay and warning lamp. If test is bad, there is a wiring or alternator malfunction.
