EGR Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTIONEGR solenoid valve (vacuum)
1. Remove the solenoid valve.
2. Apply battery positive voltage to terminal A and ground terminal B of the solenoid valve. Verify that air flows as shown.
3. If not as specified, replace the EGR solenoid valve (vacuum).
EGR solenoid valve (vent)
1. Remove the solenoid valve.
2. Verify that air flows as shown.
3. If not as specified, replace the EGR solenoid valve (vent).
4. Apply battery positive voltage to terminal A and ground terminal B of the solenoid valve. Verify that air flows as shown.
5. If not as specified, replace the EGR solenoid valve (vent).
