APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS

All 1995 Protege vehicles with a VIN of JM1BA****S0181252 and lower.

DESCRIPTION

While removing the fuse block cover, the plastic fasteners (on the cover) may break. During cover removal, applying excessive force to release the fasteners results in fastener breakage.





To prevent this occurrence, the fasteners are modified to increase strength.Refer to Fig. 1.

Customers complaining of this concern should have the fuse box cover replaced with a modified part.
