EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection

Inspection
1. Start the engine and let it idle.




2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum tube and install a vacuum pump to the valve.
3. Verify that the engine runs roughly or stalls at the specified vacuum.

Specification: 8.7-10.6 kPa (2.6-4.9 in Hg)

4. If not as specified, replace the EGR valve.
