Fuel Filter: Service and Repair




HIGH PRESSURE SIDE
The fuel filter must be replaced at the intervals outlined in the maintenance schedule.

WARNING:
- Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
- Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedures".


- Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it with safety stands.




- Remove the fuel filter protector.
- Disconnect the fuel hoses from the fuel filter.
- Remove the fuel filter and bracket.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Verify that the fuel hoses are pushed fully onto the fuel filter nipples.

Tightening torque: 7.9 - 10.7 Nm (70 - 95.4 in.lbs.)
