Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection
IGNITION CONTROL MODULE (IGNITER) INSPECTION1. Check for poor connection of the ignition coil, high-tension leads and the PCM.
2. Check the ignition coil and the high-tension leads.
3. Measure the voltage at the following PCM terminals.
- 4N ignition control module (No.1, 4)
- 4R ignition control module (No.2, 3)
- 4F, 4G camshaft position sensor (SGT, SGC signals)
- 3B mass air flow sensor
4. If all are normal, but misfire still occurs, replace the ignition coil.
