POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH LETTERING FADES

AFFECTED MODELS
All 1995-96 Millenia with a VIN of JM1TA22**T1206717 and lower.

DESCRIPTION





The white painted letters on the power door lock switch fades or rubs off with normal use. This is caused by insufficient adhesive characteristics of the ink. To improve durability, the ink has changed.

If a customer complains of this concern, replace the door lock switch with a modified part.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verity the concern.

2. Record preset audio stations.

3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

4. Remove the inner handle cover. Refer to section 5 of the workshop manual.

5. Remove the switch.

6. Install a new part and assemble.

7. Reset clock and audio stations.
