Alternator Belt Replacement

1. Remove righthand splash shield and dust cover.
2. Set suitable wrench on tensioner pulley hex bolt, then turn lock bolt clockwise to relieve drive belt tension. Do not apply more than 35 ft.lb. torque to lock bolt as it can damage tensioner.
3. Remove drive belt.
4. Install new drive belt, then ensure drive belt auto tensioner indicator mark is not exceeding limit, Fig. 57 If exceeded, replace drive belt.
5. Install righthand splash shield and dust cover.
