OIL LEAKING FROM UNDER THE TIMING BELT COVER

APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS
All 1995 Millenia S
1996 Millenia S with a VIN of JM1TA222*1209316 and lower.

DESCRIPTION
Oil may leak past the threads of the No. 3 engine mount and out of the timing belt cover Customers complaining of this should have the vehicle inspected and repaired according to this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove the No. 3 engine mount according to the workshop manual.





2. Remove the No. 3 engine mount bracket mounting stud from the cylinder block.

CAUTION:
Use caution to avoid mounting stud thread damage.

3. Clean the threads thoroughly and apply Loctite PST Pipe Sealant w/ Teflon (# 565).

4. Install stud into cylinder block

NOTE:
Replace timing belt if oil contaminated.

5. Install engine mount

6. Verify repair.
