Supercharger: Testing and Inspection

LYSHOLM COMPRESSOR
Inspection

Fig.1:

1. Turn the lysholm compressor by hand and verify that it rotates smoothly. If not, replace the lysholm compressor.
2. Check the lysholm compressor for cracks and damage. Replace the lysholm compressor if necessary. (Refer to below.)

Disassemble / Assemble
1. Disassemble in the order shown in Fig.2 referring to Service Notes.
2. Visually inspect each part and repair or replace as necessary.
3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to Service Notes.

Use the special service tool (SST) as shown in Fig.3 to hold the pulley when turning the pulley bolt.
