ABS/TCS - TCS/TCS OFF Light Illuminated/DTC 83/84

1996 millenia with KJS engine.
DESCRIPTION
The TCS and TCS OFF lights may illuminate with DTC 83 / 84 stored in the ABS/TCS control module. This concern may be caused by incorrect PCM programming and a failed communication between the ABS/TCS control module and the PCM.
Customers complaining of this subject should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, use the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify the concern.
2. Troubleshoot DTCs 83 / 84 according to the workshop manual.
^ If no problems are found, replace the ABS/TCS control module with a 1995 module.
^ If problems are found, repair as necessary shown.
3. Verify the repair.
^ If no problems are found, the repair is complete.
^ If the TCS OFF light illuminates intermittently, the vehicle may have ABS/TCS module T007-67-650. If this condition occurs, proceed to the next step shown.
