Combination Switch: Service and Repair

WARNING: Handling the air bag module improperly can accidently deploy the air bag, which may seriously injure you.

Removal / Installation
1. Remove in the order shown in the figure.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.




Disassembly / Assembly
1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure.
2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Assembly Notes:







Connector
Refer to the table and insert the proper harness terminal into the correct position in the connector.




Light Unit
Refer to the table and insert the proper harness terminal into the correct position in the connector.




Wiper Lever
Refer to the table and insert the proper harness terminal into the correct position in the connector.

Clock Spring Adjustment




Before installing the steering wheel, adjust the clock spring.
1. Set the front wheels straight ahead.

CAUTION: The clock spring will break if overwound Do not forcibly turn the clock spring when turning it.

2. Turn the clock spring clockwise until it stops.




3. Turn the clock spring counterclockwise 2.5 turns.




4. Align the mark on the clock spring with that on the outer housing.
