Time Lag Test
1. Shift from neutral position to D range.
2. Use a stopwatch to measure the time it takes from shifting until shock is felt.
3. Shift the selector to neutral position and idle the engine for at least one (1) minute.
4. Do the time lag test for the following shifts in the same manner. Make three measurements for each test and average the results.
5. Perform the test for the following shifts in the same manner. Time lag for Neutral->D range is approximately 0.9 seconds and Neutral->R position approximately 1.1 seconds.

b. Neutral->D range (HOLD mode)
c. Neutral->R position
