How To Use The ChecklistsDetermine symptoms of the problem based on customer's complaints.
Refer to the fuse checklist and match the symptoms obtained from the customer with those listed in the table. Check the appropriate fuse. If the fuse is okay, operate the system. Determine the general area of the problem; for example, noise, airflow, or temperature.
Look at the main checklist and locate the general problem area (first column). Follow each step of the instructions for the specific system (second column).
If the system does not operate properly (third column), determine the symptoms and corresponding flowchart number (fourth and fifth columns). Refer to the appropriate flowchart and troubleshoot the system.
NOTE: Start and warm up the engine so that the engine coolant temperature reaches 40-100°C (104-212°F). keep the engine running while doing the procedures.
