REMOVAL
1. Follow removal steps outlined in the illustration.
STABILIZER CONTROL LINK INSPECTION
1. Inspect for bending and damage.
2. Measure the ball joint starting torque.
a. Shake the ball joint stud from side to side 10 times.
b. Rotate the ball joint stud 10 times.
c. Measure the starting torque by using an Allen socket and a torque wrench.
3. If not within 0.1 - 1.9 Nm (0.9 - 17 inch lbs.), replace the stabilizer control link.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal steps outlined in the illustration in reverse order for installation, noting the following steps.
2. Apply rubber grease to the inside surface of the stabilizer bushing.
3. Align the bushing with the stopper on the stabilizer.
