Camshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation

CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

Detects No.1 cylinder TDC; sends signal to PCM.

Detects crank angle at 180° intervals; sends signal to PCM.

NOTE: The distributor incorporates camshaft position sensor, ignition control module, and ignition coil.
