Removal and Installation
WARNING- Handling the air bag module improperly can accidently deploy the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read SERVICE WARNINGS, before handling the air bag module.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the A-pillar trim.
3. Remove the rear console.
4. Remove the front console.
5. Remove the side panel.
6. Remove the glove compartment.
7. Remove the passenger-side air bag module.
8. Remove the driver-side air bag module.
9. Remove the column cover.
10. Remove the steering wheel.
11. Remove the hood release lever.
12. Remove the lower panel.
13. Remove the side wall.
14. Remove the installation bolts fixing the steering shaft to the dashboard and pull down the steering shaft.
15. Remove the meter hood.
16. Remove the instrument cluster.
17. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
18. Install in the reverse order of removal indicated in the table.
19. On vehicles with a wire-type heater control unit, adjust each wire.
20. Install the instrument cluster.
21. Install the meter hood.
22. Lift up the steering shaft and install the installation bolts fixing the steering shaft to the dashboard.
23. Install the side wall.
24. Install the lower panel.
25. Install the hood release lever.
26. Install the steering wheel. (
27. Install the column cover.
28. Install the driver-side air bag module.
29. Install the passenger-side air bag module.
30. Install the glove compartment.
31. Install the side panel.
32. Install the front console.
33. Install the rear console.
34. Install the A-pillar trim.
35. Connect the negative battery cable.
