Expansion Valve: Service and Repair




1. Remove the cooling unit.

CAUTION
- If moisture of foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise will occur. Always immediately plug all open fillings after removing any refrigeration cycle parts to keep moisture or foreign material out of the cycle.
- To prevent the pipe from breaking, loosen the joint by using two open-end wrenches.

2. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

CAUTION
- To prevent the pipe from breaking, tighten the joint by using an open-end wrench and a torque wrench.
- To prevent the O-ring from breaking, tighten the nut of the joint by hand.

3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
4. Install the cooling unit.

Expansion Valve Assembly Note
1. Apply compressor oil to the O-rings and connect the joints.




2. Assemble the heat-sensing tube as shown in the figure.

Thermoswitch Assembly Note



- Assemble the sensor part of thermoswitch as shown in the figure.

Evaporator Assembly Note
- When installing a new evaporator, add SP10 compressor oil into the refrigeration cycle.
