DESCRIPTION
Interior light does not illuminate when the door is opened with switch in the "Door" position. This concern is caused by corrosion in the front or rear door switch terminals. The front door switch is more susceptible to this concern because it is positioned lower than the rear door switches. Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary repaired. A rubber boot has been added to prevent corrosive material from entering the switch terminals.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Inspect vehicle
^ If switch terminal is corroded replace door switch with a modified one.
^ If the switch is not corroded, refer to the Workshop Manual or BETM for repair information.
2. Verify repair.
