Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes

Diagnostic Trouble Code Inspection
1. Connect the Special Service Tool New Generation Star (NGS) tester to the data link connector 2 and battery.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Check for diagnostic trouble codes, referring to the Special Service Tool NGS instruction manual.
4. If a diagnostic trouble code is displayed, check for the cause by using the number on the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) index. (Repair as necessary.)
