All 1998 626 with VINs from 1YVGF22**W5000001 to 1YVGF22**W5703241.

DESCRIPTION
The TCS (traction control switch) and/or the rear defroster switch, may exhibit signs of bleed through (light coming through the edges of the symbol area) when headlights are ON. This is due to scratches or flaking of the black coating on the inside of the switch. Customers complaining of this subject should have their vehicle inspected and if necessary, a modified part installed in accordance with the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer complaint.





2. Replace switch with modified part per Workshop Manual.

3. Verify repair.
