All 1998 626 with VINs lower than 1YV GF22** W5 745053.

DESCRIPTION

The "A" pillar trim panel(s) anti-squeak trim tape may be mis-positioned or separated from the trim panel, becoming visible at the top edge of the dash.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer complaint.


2. Remove the "A" pillar trim panel(s) from the vehicle.

3. Remove the old trim tape and clean the trim panel with glass cleaner to remove any remaining glue residue.





4. Install new trim tape at the lower edge of the trim panel(s).

5. Reinstall the "A" pillar trim panel(s).

6. Verify repair.
