Sunroof / Moonroof: Adjustments

Height
1. Fully close the glass panel.
2. Remove the lower panel cover.
3. Pull up on the weatherstrip surrounding the section which is measured.




4. Measure the height between the glass panel and the root.

Allowable height clearance
-1.5 - 0.5 mm { - 0.06 - 0.02 in}

5. If not as specified, loosen the guide installation nuts and adjust the height.

Gap
1. Open the glass panel about 100 mm (3.9 in } from the fully closed position.
2. Pull up on the weatherstrip surrounding the section which is to be measured.
3. Fully close the glass panel.
4. Remove the lower panel cover.
5. Measure the gap between the glass panel and the roof.




Allowable gap clearance
1: 6.45 - 7.15 mm (0.26 - 0.28 in}
2: 6.20 - 7.00 mm (0.25 - 0.27 in}

6. if not as specified, loosen the glass panel installation nuts and adjust the gap.
7. Open the glass panel and install the weatherstrip.

Operating Time




1. Measure the operating time of the glass panel from fully open to fully closed or vice versa.

Specified time
4-7 seconds




2. If not as specified, adjust the motor driving torque as follows.
1. Remove the headliner.
2. Remove the housing cover screws and the E-ring. Remove the housing cover from the motor.
3. Unfold the pole washers indicated by arrows in the figure.
4. Loosen the locknut and adjust the torque by using an Allen wrench.
5. After adjustment, fold the pole washers to lock the locknut.
