Steering Wheel: Service and Repair

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Steering Wheel Removal Note

CAUTION: Do not try to remove the steering wheel by hitting the shaft with a hammer. The column will collapse.





- Remove the steering wheel by using a suitable puller.

Intermediate Shaft and Collapsible Shaft Installation Note
1. Align the marks of the intermediate shaft and the collapsible shaft.





2. Tighten bolt A or B last.

Steering Wheel Installation Note
- Set the wheels in the straight-ahead position, and install the steering wheel.
