A rubbing noise is heard from the front console when driving. This is caused by the dash board and front console rubbing against each other. To prevent this noise, felt pads have been added to the front console as shown.

Customers complaining of this concern should have their vehicles repaired using the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer complaint.

2. Remove the front console according to the Workshop Manual section S (01).

Caution
^ The Workshop Manual does not mention two plastic tabs that must be released. Use a screwdriver to prevent breakage.

3. Place adhesive foam pads in locations as shown.

Note
^ If any other noise preventative padding is damaged or deformed during the removal process, replace it with new or similar material.

4. Verify repair.
