Overdrive Indicator Lamp: Testing and Inspection

O/D OFF INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION
1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.





3. Measure the voltage between terminal 1A and the ground.
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
5. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.








6. Inspect for continuity between instrument cluster terminal 2K and powertrain control module terminal 21.
7. If not correct, inspect the wiring harness (instrument cluster - powertrain control module).
8. If correct, go to next step.





9. Inspect for continuity between terminals 1A and 2K.
10. If there is not continuity, replace the instrument cluster or bulb.
11. Install the instrument cluster.
12. Connect the negative battery cable.
