One-Way Clutch 2 and Carrier Hub Component Disassembly/Assembly

ONE-WAY CLUTCH 2 AND CARRIER HUB COMPONENT DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY
1. Carry out the preinspection, before disassembly.
2. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly indicated in the table.








Assembly procedure
1. Check the one-way clutch 2 operation.
2. Install the inner race to one-way clutch 2, and verify that one-way clutch 2 turns smoothly and only clockwise. If one-way clutch 2 turns or locks in both directions, replace one-way clutch 2. If one-way clutch 2 turns only counterclockwise, it might have been installed backwards.





3. Replace the one-way clutch 2 if it is damaged or malfunctioning.
4. Check for the following and repair or replace as necessary.
1) Clearance between pinion washers and planetary carrier.





2) If not within the specification, replace the carrier hub component.
5. Install the carrier hub component to inner race.
6. Install the snap ring.
7. Apply petroleum jelly to the bearing races.
8. Install the tabs of the bearing races into the alignment holes on each side of the one-way clutch carrier hub component.
